Joseph Fielding McConkie

Joseph Fielding McConkie is an emeritus professor of Ancient Scripture at Brigham Young University. He is the son of late LDS Apostle Bruce R. McConkie and the late Amelia Smith McConkie.

A former missionary to Scotland, he also served as an LDS chaplain for three years, one of which was spent in Vietnam. He graduated from Brigham Young University, where he also received a Master's degree in Church History and a Doctorate in Educational Administration.  He has authored and co-authored over 25 books and speaks regularly at LDS gatherings.

He and his wife, Brenda currently reside in Orem, Utah and are the parents of nine children and grandparents to several grandchildren.
